It's a story of best friends who first really bonded through the beginning of hip -hop. Their friendship has lasted into adulthood and relationships with other people. In the end they realize that their love for each other was there all along, they just finally decide to act on it.

3~ Last/Most Recent Love...what they meant/mean to you...

They mean nothing to me. It wasn't real. It was cool while it lasted, but it definitely doesn't go down in history, LOL.

In fact, it doesn't even get a song connected to it.

Whoo wee, I was sure tore up about it last year, but this year? Hmmph...

Day 2~ Best Love...what they meant/mean to you

I apologize, somewhere along the way, Blogspot stopped recognizing paragraphs. Pfft.

The last time I did this challenge, I was looking at romantic love. I've realized since, the best love I've ever felt in my life (aside from family) has been the love of two of my very best friends in the world.


To know that no matter what you do, no matter what you say, there may be some tense feelings at that moment, but to be able to talk it out, get past it and to really KNOW that that person still loves you? That's priceless.


I have said and done some effed up things and guess what? They tell me about it and keep it moving. We pray for each other, especially if one of us is going through challenging times. We pray when things are great.


If there is such a thing as unconditional love, this has got to be what it feels like.


My greatest joy in each of these friendships is doing things to make them smile. I love them both so much!


Some people can't have two close friends like this without one getting jealous of the other. The one I don't talk to so much understands and doesn't require my constant attention for validation of our friendship. Not that the other person does, we simply talk much more.


It is such a blessing to be loved so much by people who don't have to.

30 Day Truth and Love Challenge: 1~ First Love (of course!)...what they meant/mean to you...

Looking back, I realize that the one I considered my first love, really was simply the first one I loved. He said he loved me, but his actions proved otherwise.

I mean he proposed, then cheated. He came back and then married someone else. Does that sound like love to you? Me neither.

Seems it was what I once considered my second love that was really my first.

Perhaps I'd have realized that sooner had our lines of communication been better. I was 17 and he 21. My 17 year old mind was about the moment and his 21 year old mind was thinking about the future.

He was trying to be a provider and being that I had parents already, I don't know if I saw him as trying to control me or what. Honestly I can't remember, but looking back, I could see that he wanted to "do" for me and I wasn't really accepting it because of my fierce independence. I didn't realize it then, but that's how he showed me he loved me.

I know that as much as a 17 year old could really know about love, I loved him too.

Still have a place in my heart for him.

The Second Time Around: 30 Day Truth and Love Challenge

June 3, it will be a year that I decided to become a single woman again and a year that I will celebrate(?) celibacy. Define celibacy? Some will argue that if you say you're celibate, it means you haven't had sex, no self-love etc. You've done absolutely nothing.

Well, the World English dictionary says that to be celibate is to abstain from sexual intercourse and the definition of sexual intercourse is
genital contact, especially the insertion of the penis into the vagina followed by orgasm; coitus; copulation. So that's the definition I'll go with.

So yeah...It hasn't been easy, but I am in the mindset that no one gets the goodies unless we're in love. In "like" just doesn't get it for me anymore.

Which brings me to this...I'm pretty sure I'm in love with someone and I don't know what to do with it. I'm not sure they feel the exact same way about me, but I'm not sure they don't either.
